INALT20r is the complementary configuration to INALT60 to analyse the impact of the higher resolution in the 2nd nest with INALT60.
The configurations INALT60 and INALT20r have been developed by Franziska U. Schwarzkopf and René Schubert in coordination with Arne Biastoch within three distinct phases: After the first phase, both configurations have been introduced as part of the INALT family in Schwarzkopf et al. (2019; https://doi.org/10.5194/gmd-12-3329-2019). Subsequently, in the second phase, the configurations have been further developed as described in Schubert et al. (2019; https://doi.org/10.1029/2019MS001724). Based on this development, a series of four parallel model experiments has been executed that formed the basis for the dissertation of René Schubert (https://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:gbv:8-mods-2020-00151-7) and the publications Schubert et al.
